They Think They Get It

They think they get it,

They really do.

They preach of knowledge,

And the “right” thing to do.

They think they understand,

But they do not listen.

Instead they scold,

And demand I witness,

Them in their truth,

Without listening to mine.

They think they’re open,

But still live in the divide.

They haven’t connected,

Back to the heart,

And without love,

They’re still at the start.

So I pick up my things,

And wave a goodbye.

And keep moving on

And living my life.
